Hi! 👋 I am Yiyang Shao (邵奕阳). I am currently an undergraduate student majoring in Financial Engineering at the School of Finance, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and I expect to receive my bachelor’s degree in June 2026.
This September, I will be heading to Peking University to pursue a Ph.D. at the Institute of Carbon Neutrality, Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies. My major will be Carbon Neutrality Systems Science and Governance (Applied Economics).
Currently, I am working on several fascinating research projects with Prof.Yonghao Xu. His invaluable mentorship has been instrumental in guiding me onto my academic path.
Generally, I am interested in the intersection of Corporate Finance, Environmental Economics, and Political Economy, aiming to understand how institutional environments and policy dynamics shape firm behavior.
I am also actively studying Carbon Neutrality System Science and Governance, focusing on how the transition toward carbon neutrality reshapes firms’ policy environments. In the context of the dual-carbon targets, climate policies and environmental regulations introduce new institutional constraints and incentives that influence corporate finance decisions and asset pricing.
If you are interested in utilizing Agent-Based Models (ABMs) to simulate financial markets and developing related computational workflows, please feel free to reach out for discussion or potential collaborations.
